Peter and the Starcatcher

Play by Rick Elice

Music by Wayne Barker

Arts Club Theatre Centre | Fall 2015

As a college senior, Ward interned as an Assistant Director under his professor, David Mackay, for the grand opening of The BMO Theatre Centre for the Arts Club. The theatre centre, located in Vancouver's Olympic Village, contains various rehearsal venues as well as the multi-configuration Goldberg Stage.

The musical play was a smashing hit for theatre goers and features pirates, Italian fugitives, mermaids, and lost boys.

"While working with professionals (some of Vancouver's most seasoned theatre veterans), Mitch demonstrated a keen and observant eye. His directorial perspective as an assistant director was hugely beneficial to my process. His commitment to the production was rooted in passion, respect and a growing artistic vision that makes him immensely resourceful in the rehearsal hall, during the tech/dress and previews."

-David Mackay | Director
